No Obama, I think it’s good for everybody when you spread freedom, work and responsibility around.
Obama told Joe the plumber, “I think that when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.” I must take exception. People that have freedom and apply themselves through work and accessing educational opportunities can create their own wealth. A society that is foolish enough to think the government can create prosperity by spreading the wealth around by taxing the “rich” and giving to the poor and middle class will eventually end up spreading poverty and misery around. In gaining this shared poverty and misery societies lose their freedom in exchange for tyranny and totalitarianism. The Obama policy will result in trading opportunity for equal outcomes. It will cause poverty rather than eliminate it. One only has to look at the societies that have tried this lunacy to see the end result. It is noteworthy that Obama's friends such as the Marxist Bill Ayers and former anti-American preacher Jeremiah Wright advocated this nonsense. However, it must be noted that utopian government rhetoric has never fed a hungry child.
In a speech to Planned Parenthood Obama declared the culture war as being "so nineties" and over. Let me assure you that the clash of world-views that is the culture war is not over. If you are elected, those who oppose the world-view that you are promoting should on day one begin working with enthusiasm to see that such polices are not enacted. Since you have made your wrong-headed polices crystal clear, there is no need for anyone to delay their total opposition to your bad policy preferences.
I for one will engage in lawfully trying to see that your agenda is thwarted.

In a just society we should care for the mentally and physically handicapped. We should give a helping hand to those who are trying to achieve and support themselves. However, spreading wealth around to anyone who underachieves in school and shows no work ethic will only encourage such a group to grow larger and thus require more wealth spreading.....
The Christians have the instructing Word of God and the leading of God the Holy Spirit dwelling within to move them to help the helpless. We don't need the government reaching into our wallets for us. Even Christ-rejecting industrialists and inventers have a history of giving large amounts of their wealth to help those in need; again, without government doing it for them.
As you well know, I'm in 100% agreement with both of you.

Have you seen the apparent new bruhaha stirring? That Obama may not even be a natural born citizen, therefore not qualified to run for the presidency????
I know of no government that has actually TRIED to spread the wealth around. Many have said that they plan to or are trying to but the result is always the same. Those in power get rich and everyone else gets poorer. This "Robin Hood" style of governing will fail. People seem to forget that Robin Hood only existed because of the crooked government of Prince John and the Sheriff of Nottingham who were bent on taxing the rich to death! Hmmmm...

Well, you guys, it's a "dry heat!" My dear wife, Anne of the House, says, "Yeah, and so is a convection oven!" But it has cooled off some with the advent of Autumn. It was 87 today.
I'll be putting a lot of what's been happening up at ShilohGuy but let me say that we are rejoicing that the Lord's direction out here was so clear. We're working with a great core of people in planting this new church. I sense the Spirit's leading in our ministry and I trust we will introduce many ordinary people to our extraordinary God! It's going well! Thanks!
