The Evolution myth

Job 37:22-24
Out of the north comes golden splendor; God is clothed with awesome majesty. The Almighty—we cannot find him; he is great in power; justice and abundant righteousness he will not violate. Therefore men fear him; he does not regard any who are wise in their own conceit.”

Last Dollar Road near Telluride, Colorado displays the awesome majesty of God all year round. However, in September when the aspen leaves display their golden splendor, the human heart cannot help but leap with joy, wonder, and praise for God’s wonderful and magnificent creation.

The evolutionists are wise in their own eyes, but they do not see. They have become blinded by their own conceit and are arrogant and intolerant. Paul says, Romans 1:20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So, they are without excuse. Science has allowed mankind to continue to discover the absolutely amazing intricacies of God’s creation. Science is not anti-God, but in fact shines a light on the wonder of his creation. Many scientists from the past such as Isaac Newton and present acknowledge that intelligent design is behind the entire universe, which includes planet earth.

Yet atheistic evolutionists aggressively impugn and mock, as religious fundamentalists fanatics, anyone who does not buy into the Darwin myth. However, until they can answer the following question that was posed in the preceding post, they are the ones dealing in pure fantasy:

Where did all the stuff come from?
(also see previous post)

Christians should in no way be intimidated by anyone claiming a godless universe until they can answer this question.

You know, I am in AP Psychology right now and we are studying evolutionary psychology. So I think this article is very appropriate for me. The thing that irritates me the most about it is that they (ie. the book and the teacher) just assume evolution is true. So, I am stuck in this section of the class: If I want a good grade, I need to make nice with the secular status quo and answer all questions in a naturalistic way. Argh!

But you know, while I agree with you, I think your arguments are too simplistic. What I mean is, you leave out the third option: deism. God created the universe, but then He leaves it at that. Of course that denies the Bible, but it would appease both sides of the debate: God created the universe (theism) but God lets the universe run on its own (secularism).

Justin,
If you can get atheists to admit deism, then you are well on the way to getting them to affirm intelligent design. Where did the stuff come from? is not the only weakness in evolutionary theory.

Justin,
Also......
You do not have to leave your logic and reasoning at the classroom door. While deism is certainly a possibility, it does not explain a beautifully designed universe. Someone that affirms a supreme being has to consider all of the wonder he sees and credit it to "it just happened" or either to just maybe the supreme being had a hand in the results. Which is more logical when you consider all the fantastic order and design that science has discovered? The burden of proof is just as much on them as it is Biblical Christianity.

They have already acknowledged a supreme being and yet they want us to believe he had nothing do with the magnifcience of the universe? Our response should be, show me.

Well not necessarily. Of course they (deists) are saying God created the universe with design in it. They would say that God created the universe in such a way that it is fully capable of functioning on its own without God.

As for getting an atheist to accept deism, that's not so much my point. What I wanted to convey is that, as much as we would like it otherwise, theism and atheism are not the only options.

Justin,
Perhaps you could have some fun in your class by asking your teacher extremely tough questions about evolutionary psychology and natural selection. For example:
1. Mr. teacher is natural selection a good thing? (if answer yes) then ask some tough questions on the things society does that runs counter to the survival of the fit concept of natural selection.

Wayne, I do that enough already. Hahaha! Well, not Darwinism related, but tough questions all the same.

Also, my teacher is a Missus.

Good discussion.

God delights in confounding the wisdom of the "wise".

A great way to respond to the evolutionist is to let him see his reflection in the mirror of God's law.

Good question, Jazzycat. I don't ask it often enough.

A friend, who is an evolutionist asked me if I believed God gave the languages out to all the people at Babel?

I said, "Yes indeed."

I asked him how does the langusge thing work with all the apes turning into man? How does that work?

he had no answer.

Wayne, I think you have the bottom line question, and they have no answer, you're right.
Sad, that they expect everyone to believe this doctrine of demons, which may very well be the greatest false doctrine up to this day.

Thanks everyone. I believe Don is right. In a sense, evolution is a religion to some of these people just like the global warming is a religion to some.

And the latter (global warming) is a religion honored by the world. See Nobel Peace Prize recipient for this year. Ah, well. He joins the esteemed company of Yasser Arafat and Jimmy Carter. How much more obvious could it be that there's a veil over so many people's eyes?

Susan,
It is amazing how many people are duped by Al Gore and his fictional documentary. The bottom line is that the cure for global warming will be socialistic government control. That is the agenda here. The former leader of the UN even declared that global warming was so serious that nations should give up their sovereignty to effectively fight it. Well duh, what's wrong with this picture. The UN couldn't run a hot dog stand for starters and it goes down hill from there.
