Politically correct intolerance proved

Bill Maher said the following on Fox News on Wednesday September 20: "I don't like it when people tolerate intolerance." This obviously means he would like it when people are intolerant of intolerance. This of course means that such people would be intolerant themselves if they did not tolerate intolerance. To truly be tolerant, should not tolerance be valid for the intolerant? Apparently not according to Mr. Maher.
I think we have stumbled on to the truth about Mr. Maher and the tolerance issue as articulated by the liberal left. Tolerance is only extended to those people, things, and issues that are approved by the liberal left. These approved people, things, and issues are considered politically correct and are to be tolerated. Those people, things, and issues that are not approved should not be tolerated by these keepers of the PC standards. Ask Ann Coulter if you need confirmation. Scripture describes this situation in Ephesians 2:1-2 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.

The Gospel will be intolerant to those who are opposed to it. I fear the farth left you move, the further away from truth you have gone.

Hey,

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, but here I am.

First as regards Bill Maher: While I more or less align myself with Maher, in that he is certainly far left of center, I can't say that I am a great fan of his. His ego gets in the way of his message. Nor is he the most articulate spokesman for the left. First and foremost, his is an entertainment program, and it's all about ratings when it comes down to it. He plays it for laughs - mostly (but not always) at the expense of the Right. I haven't seen his show for some time because we don't get HBO or any of the other so called "premium" channels on cable.

I'm not here to apologize for him. He has a forum, and he uses it - as do Rush Limbaugh and many others. Rush is certainly not shy about cheap shots and twisting the truth either.

I do sit pretty left of center myself, and yes, I am far removed from the gospel. Am I further from the truth? I think not. Truth should be aligned with reason. The gospel has little in the way of reason going for it.

Regardless. . .

I hope you and yours are well.
